Home and school join hands to cultivate talents. Grade 11 is a crucial stage that bridges the past and the future in senior high school education. Thus, in order to further enhance the unity and cooperation between home and school and strengthen the connection between them, the Senior High School Department of our school held a parents' meeting on the morning of December 27th with the theme of 'Hand in Hand, Win at the Turning Point'. All parents of the 11th grade students gathered on campus for a profound dialogue about growth.
To be specific, at 10.10 A.M., the parents' meeting was held in the school auditorium on schedule, which was presented by Assistant Principal Xu Zuitai and attended by all the teachers and parents of the 11th grade.
In the first place, at the beginning of the meeting, Assistant Principal Xu Zuitai, on behalf of Anqing Foreign Language School, extended a warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to all the parents. Subsequently, he provided a comprehensive introduction to the school's educational philosophy, development plan, and the significant position of the sophomore year in the overall development of senior high school.
In the second place, Assistant Principal Xu Zuitai took into account the physical and mental development characteristics as well as the academic development patterns of students from Grade 11, focusing on analyzing the opportunities and challenges that these students are currently facing. Later on, Assistant Principal Xu Zuitai shared several suggestions with the parents from multiple aspects such as academic planning, psychological counseling, and habit formation.
In the third place, after the school-level parent meeting ended, the parents proceeded in an orderly manner to their children's respective classes, initiating the class-level part of the parent meetings, which were led by each head teacher, with all subject teachers participating throughout, thus enabling precise and personalized communication between home and school.
Last but not the least, the head teachers, based on the actual situation of their respective classes, gave detailed explanations to the parents in terms of class management, academic atmosphere building, and students' recent learning performance. In the meantime, considering the individual characteristics of different students, the head teachers had in-depth conversations with the parents, meticulously answering their questions about their children's studies, lives, and psychology, reaching consensus with the parents on issues such as how to teach students in accordance with their aptitudes, helping them overcome learning difficulties, and improving learning efficiency.
In a nutshell, education is a beautiful encounter, with growth being the most beautiful vision. The convening of this parents' meeting for Grade 11 effectively narrowed the distance between home and school, consolidating the powerful synergy of home-school co-education. More remarkably, it's believed that with the joint efforts of the school and parents, the students of the 11th grade of our school will surely be able to find their direction, strive hard, and move steadily on the path of growth, shining with even more brilliant light!
